Private Equity

Our Private Equity program is one of the largest and most experienced teams with approximately US$18 billion in private equity assets. We manage a majority of these assets within our fund of funds program on behalf of more than 90 leading global institutions. Additionally we oversee private equity assets comprising over 300 partnerships, direct and secondary investments on behalf of several institutional investors.

Our Private Equity Group consists of a dedicated team of 44 professionals, operating from offices in New York, London and Hong Kong, with significant investment experience and long-standing relationships with top-tier private equity partnerships. The team consists of high quality, skilled professionals with more than 350 years of combined experience. The extensive operations and technology resources at JPMorgan Chase & Co. also support our program, and we have leveraged the expertise of the firm's buy and sell side analysts, capital markets professionals, and economists among others in support of investment due diligence.

Our Group offers clients access to two distinct investment programs: Venture Capital and Corporate Finance. Our Venture Capital program has an early-stage investment strategy emphasizing companies at their seed or start-up phase. Early-stage investments allow the venture capitalist to obtain more meaningful ownership stakes, and to make the biggest impact in helping the company establish its business platform and management team. The strategy for our Corporate Finance program emphasizes high growth-oriented investments, typically generated through acquisition, fundamental business change, or top line growth. The underlying portfolio company investments may encompass equity capital for acquisition transactions and management buy-outs or buy-ins; industry consolidations and build-ups; re-financing and recapitalizations; and growth investments in venture-backed companies.

Our Group invests primarily in traditional private equity partnerships and will opportunistically make select direct co-investments and purchase secondary partnership interests.
