J.P. Morgan OEIC and SICAV funds
OEIC and SICAV funds are managed funds that provide easy access to global stock and bond markets to help you achieve your investment aims.
What are OEIC and SICAV funds?
OEIC (pronounced ‘oik’) stands for Open Ended Investment Company while SICAV stands for Société d’Investissement à Capital Variable. Both OEICs and SICAVs are a form of shared investment that allow you to pool your money with thousands of other people and invest in world stock markets. As they are ‘open ended’, OEICs and SICAVs can issue more shares each time someone invests, which means you can always buy or sell whenever you want. OEICs have largely replaced the traditional unit trust structure in the UK. SICAVs are mainly found in continental Europe (with Luxembourg being their favoured home) but can provide additional investment choice to UK investors.
With both OEICs and SICAVs, you benefit from the experience of professional fund managers to help your money work harder. They also offer a wide range of choice by sector, region and by the type of investment, such as equity funds, bond funds and total return funds.
