Charities

We continue in our efforts to make a contribution to the community, by encouraging participants of the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race to donate to charitable causes. We have made enormous strides in this area and over the last five years have raised over £438,000 for various charities.

"The Round the Island Race has continued to go from strength to strength with a record breaking 1,900 boats and 16,000 competitors taking part in 2011. Over the years we have encouraged participants to make their entry count by raising money for a charity of their choice. We hope that we can take this total to £530,000 in 2012.”

The Ellen McArthur Cancer trust

Founded in 2003, The Ellen McArthur Cancer trust takes young people aged between 8-18 sailing to help regain their confidence, and assist their road to recovery from cancer, leukaemia and other serious illnesses. As part of our fundraising efforts we helped raise £55,000 as part of the 2011 Round the Island Race, enough to send 110 young people sailing next year.
